Trip report: Namibia, custom tour (Aug 2016) by Tropical Birding

Guided by Ken Behrens and Charley Hesse.

This was a custom tour run with a similar itinerary to our normal set-departure. We travelled from Windhoek down to the coast, then inland again to the Erongo Mountains and Etosha NP, then to the Okavango ecosystem, where the tour concluded in Maun, Botswana. Highlights included most of the Namibian near-endemics, Pel’s Fishing-Owl, and a Southern Carmine Bee-eater Colony. On the mammal front, lots of Black Rhino and Lion were among many high points.

This report is in a different format than our typical reports. It is a photo book that was prepared for the participants on the trip, but still includes full trip lists in the back.
