China: Sichuan and the Tibetan Plateau

Watch this space. In the last few years we have run several fantastically successful trips to Sichuan/Tibet with four guides, and we all loved birding there so much that we have decided to extensively broaden our coverage. It is hard to know exactly what sets China apart, but with fascinating culture and great food along with pheasants, cranes, and mind-blowing migration, you have an alluring combination. For 2008-2009 we have set departure tours to Sichuan, migration in Beidaihe and custom trips to Yunnan and Manchuria. We expect that for 2010 we will also add trips to Fujian, Shaanxi, and Hebei provinces. It is difficult for even the most single-minded birder not to be impressed by the cultural tourism sites here, and we recommend that you take some time to check some of them out.
