Has anyone extended their efforts in video to include external sound recording of 32-bit floating audio (and syncing in post process)? It seems that the primary difficulty of previous sound recording was having to monitor sound and controlling gain to avoid the distortion that usually comes with sounds that are short, loud and irregular (ie. birds [like a bellbird]).

I’ve seen you do amazing things with photoshop (so not beyond your capability)…it is just another thing to check out. But guiding and sound recording might be antithetical pursuits.
